Fonds Relève

*Previously known as Fonds transfert d'entreprise

The Fonds Relève, a component of the Fonds local d'investissement, is aimed at any entrepreneur or group of entrepreneurs wishing to acquire at least 25% of the value of an existing business (or its assets) with a view to taking it over.

Fonds Relève can be used to increase the entrepreneur's capital outlay, since it can be made under the buyer's personal name, depending on the situation. In this way, other creditors can consider it as equity, which is a major asset for the successor entrepreneur.

Financial assistance from Fonds Relève means...

Different modalities are possible:

  • Traditional loan
  • Possibility of principal moratorium for up to 36 months
  • Possibility of interest leave for up to 36 months

Eligible expenses

  • The acquisition of ownership in the target company (voting shares or units)
  • Expenses related to the acquisition of assets of the target company
  • Professional services fees directly related to the acquisition transaction
