Créavenir’s financial assistance takes the form of…

A line of credit of up to $15,000 at prime rate + 0.5%. It is also a grant of up to $4000.

The objectives include...

Provide young entrepreneurs with the necessary guidance, by referring them to support and coaching solutions.

Offer financing adapted to the reality of young entrepreneurs, without the usual requirements.

Offer financial leverage to facilitate access to available sources of financing and conventional credit.

Eligibility conditions

  • For a new compagny : 
    • Be legally incorporated or in the process of being incorporated; and
    • Submit a business plan (developed or validated with the help of Laval Economic)
  • For an established company :
    • Be legally incorporated ;
    • Be active for less than 3 years;
    • Ensure the maintenance or creation of jobs;
    • Present the business plan produced at the time of the company's launch and for the current year.
  • For the succession of an existing business 
    • Be legally incorporated;
    • The project must ensure the maintenance or creation of jobs;
    • The project must allow the acquisition of at least 50% of the company's share capital ;
    • Be a member of one of the participating Desjardins caisses or become one;
    • Be between 18 and 39 years old.

FAQ

Is a minimum credit score required?

Good credit behaviors must be seen in the contractor.

Can my company have an account elsewhere but at Desjardins?

Yes. This doesn’t prevent you from becoming a Desjardins business member, which is required in order to be eligible for the program.

Do I need a business plan to be eligible?

Yes. Financial forecasts are also required to present your project.

Does the company have to be registered?

Yes. It must be legally constituted, or in process of becoming legally constituted.

What is the entrepreneur’s shareholding percentage?

The entrepreneur must hold at least 50% of the shares.
