Urban Expansion 

Laval économique’s Expansion financing program is aimed at supporting the development and competitiveness of Laval-based businesses.

A tax credit for a maximum period of 60 months, up to $1.6 million per year. The credit is equal to a percentage increase in general property value, determined after the eligible work is completed.

Who can benefit from this financing program?

Investors who wish to set up in Laval or owners who are thinking of undertaking major expansion and renovation work can benefit from this program.

Eligibility criteria

  • Owners of manufacturing companies (and businesses in other activity sectors)
    Property value after work is completed: At least $3 million for a new construction and $2 million for an expansion or renovation project.
  • Environmental sanitation service, exhibition of cultural objects and tourism centre
    The increase in property value after the completion of work must represent at least $10 million for a new construction and $5 million for an expansion or renovation project.

Application submission deadline

You have until December 31, 2025 to submit an application for financing. No tax credit will be given if work is started or completed prior to receiving written notification of acceptance of the application.
